This amendment earmarks $1,000,000 from the James and Esther King 
Biomedical Research Program to fund research grants on adult, umbilical 
cord and embryonic stem cell projects.

At the end of existing proviso language, following Specific 
Appropriation 601, INSERT:

From the funds in Specific Appropriation 601, $1,000,000 shall be used 
to fund adult, umbilical cord and embryonic stem cell research grants.
Line item amendments are accepted as part of the amendatory process. However, due to the necessity of using computerized systems this may entail a different placement within a budget entity or the renumbering of the specific appropriation items.
