This week, many students and teachers go back to school for the year. For my family, this is the first time in many years that our kids aren't going off to school.
My children were lucky enough to benefit from a strong public education because of where they grew up. But across the state, even just across our district, the opportunities for students are not the same.
Access to education should be an equal playing field, because education is an investment in our future. We need to ensure equitable funding across districts and provide students in lower-income areas the same educational opportunities as students in wealthier school districts.
As many head back to school, let's work to elect representatives that will represent all students, teachers, and parents. Our future depends on it.
I want to share with you a short video from the interns working on our campaign. They talk about the issues that matter to them as students and what they want from their Congressperson. Let's keep our future in mind on November 6th.
