Rob will fight so every child can get a free, quality public education. As a school board member active in educational issues, Rob understands the power of a good education to transform lives and strengthen local communities, support local businesses and drive the economy. A strong public education can provide employers with the skilled employees they need to compete in today's fast-paced, fast-changing economy, while creating the next generation of entrepreneurs who can make West Michigan a center for innovation and job creation.

Free, quality public education for all children, through well-funded public schools.
Make college and continuing education available to all through low-cost, low-interest loans, and free for deserving students who meet certain criteria.
Robust investments in science, technology, engineering and math programs.
Support, strengthen and restore arts and creative programs in schools, which have been linked to greater problem solving, social and communications skills.
Strong support for after-school programs.
Strong support for public school teachers and staff so they can do their jobs.
Local, state and federal collaboration so local communities can make decisions that are best for their local schools
Review standardized testing so they are fair, measure student learning and not just achievement, provide information to teachers, and don't punish public schools.
