SENATE BILL NO. 62

HOUSE AMENDMENT NOS. 2 & 4

AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 19 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO THE MINIMUM WAGE.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE:

Section 1. Amend subsection (a), §902, Chapter 9, Title 19, of the Delaware Code by striking the first sentence thereof in its entirety and substituting in lieu thereof the following:

“Every employer shall pay wages of a rate of not less than $6.15 per hour through December 31, 2006, and $6.65 per hour effective January 1, 2007 and $7.15 per hour effective January 1, 2008 to every employee in any occupation, except as may be otherwise provided under this chapter.”

AMEND Senate Bill No. 62, as amended, by inserting after “federal government” in § 902(b) of Title 19 of the Delaware Code the following: “as of June 15, 2006”.
